Job Description & Requirements
VCOM & PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Exclusive Partnership
White Coat Summer Internship
The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is proud to partner exclusively with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) to offer one outstanding PanHellenic student the opportunity to participate in a four-week immersive internship at the VCOM Carolinas campus.
This experience is designed to provide meaningful exposure to the medical field while helping the intern explore potential career pathways in healthcare and osteopathic medicine. Throughout the program, the intern will engage with multiple areas of the VCOM campus, gaining a well-rounded perspective on medical education, research, clinical skills, and leadership within healthcare.
What we want in an Intern:
Responsibilities of the intern are to have a strong interest in attending medical school and becoming a physician. This internship is 4 weeks in length, so this opportunity consists of exposing the participant to actual experiences of what life would be like in medical school. Each day will be filled with activities and events that place the participant in the role of a medical student. This individual will take part in classroom lectures, anatomy labs, physical examination training, osteopathic manipulative medicine sessions, bench research studies, higher administration meetings and decision-making discussions and an overall sense of what it takes to become a highly qualified and competent physician
