Automatic Invitation to Medical School Interview 


The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is proud to partner exclusively with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) to offer a unique opportunity to PanHellenic students and alumni (PHYL). 


Through this partnership, up to five pre-vetted PanHellenic candidates may receive an automatic invitation to participate in the VCOM medical school interview process to enroll for fall 2027.


Securing a medical school interview is an extremely competitive achievement, as thousands of highly qualified applicants compete for a limited number of interview slots each year. 


This partnership provides PanHellenic students with a rare advantage by streamlining the interview selection process and recognizing candidates who have already demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and commitment through PanHellenic’s rigorous vetting process. Being selected for this opportunity reflects both the high standards of PanHellenic and the exceptional caliber of VCOM’s academic community, offering a pathway to be considered by VCOM.


Academic Requirements for VCOM Consideration

  • Completion of required undergraduate coursework (no preferred major or no preferred courses) 

  • Science GPA: 3.5 or higher 

  • MCAT score: 500 or higher 

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident status 

  • Letters of recommendation (two letters of recommendation)

  • Clinical experience (preferred)

  • Completed the MCAT, Currently applying to Med school for Fall 2027


PanHellenic to VCOM Referral Process


1. Interested PanHellenic Young Leaders or Alumni should email gtsakos@panhellenicsf.org to express interest 

2. Eligible students will receive additional information and instructions for submitting a complete application package 

3. Following an initial review of application, selected candidates may be invited to participate in a preliminary screening with the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation to discuss: Interest and passion for VCOM and this school; fit for the role; why you should be selected as the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation referral
