Marcus Corporation is looking for motivated Accounting Interns to join our dynamic team! In this hands-on role, you'll gain valuable experience by assisting with period close, account reconciliations, corporate reporting, and exciting special projects. The internship kicks off as a full-time summer position, with the flexibility to transition to part-time during the fall and spring semesters at our corporate office in Milwaukee. What you will be doing:
Prepare and enter accurate journal entries into the financial system by analyzing complex data.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Contribute to the period close process by reviewing financial statements, identifying variances, and collaborating with accounting team members.
Provide accounting support to hotel and theatre operations.
Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and recommend process improvements.
Take on additional responsibilities and projects to support the success of the accounting team.
What we are looking for:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program for Accounting or Finance
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Solid financial and analytical skills
Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
Desire to learn and contribute in a team-based environment
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and detail oriented
Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry
Ability to be on site in our Milwaukee office, working full-time during the summer and part time during the school year (if still enrolled).
