The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Internship Alliance Program builds strong partnerships with leading companies to help secure internship opportunities for our talented young professionals and increase their visibility among recruiters in competitive applicant pools.
This program enables young Hellenes to be referred, recommended, or reserved for select internship opportunities within our trusted partner network, boosting visibility of their applications.

PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Alumna or Alumnus
PanHellenic Young Leader (for non-scholarship Alumni)

Cultural Journalism Intern

Full Job Description:
The Hellenic News of America is seeking a passionate and motivated Cultural Journalism Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with and contribute to the rich tapestry of Greek and Hellenic culture while gaining valuable experience in journalism and media.
Responsibilities:
- Research and write articles covering various aspects of Greek culture, history, and contemporary issues affecting the Greek-American community.
- Conduct interviews with community leaders, artists, and cultural figures to gather insights and stories that reflect the vibrant Hellenic heritage.
- Assist in developing multimedia content, including videos and podcasts, to complement written articles and enhance audience engagement.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and pitch story ideas that align with current events and cultural trends.
- Help manage social media accounts by creating posts that promote articles and events, engaging with followers, and growing our online presence.
- Attend community events, festivals, and other cultural gatherings to report on activities and build connections within the community.
- Support fact-checking and proofreading to ensure high-quality content before publication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Greek culture, history, and current issues relevant to the Hellenic community.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in journalism or media, including writing for a school newspaper or blog, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Greek is highly desirable but not required.
