Job Description & Requirements
Overview:
The accounting intern will gain experience and learn essential industry skills by assisting our team with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and other projects.
Responsibilities:
Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete
Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other
Working with bookkeeping software.
Respond to firm associate requests promptly, accurately, positively, and professionally.
Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information,
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes to enhance efficiency.
Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
Collects and copy financial data as requested.
Creates and prepares various financial support schedules.
Generates financial reports in SAP or other accounting systems.
• Performs filing as needed of various financial documents.
Requirements:
A GPA of 3.0 or above.
Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting;
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.
Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
