Response Management Intern Description
Summary:
The Product Reporting function is part of the broader Product team, which works to develop and execute comprehensive plans to maximize the growth opportunities and profitability for both new and existing products. The Response Management Team is responsible for executing all product reporting functions to maximize retention and business development opportunities by delivering best-in-class proposals, comprehensive due diligence responses, consultant database content, and effectively managing distribution agreement processes. The team collaborates with departments firmwide, including National Accounts, Institutional Sales, Compliance, Legal, Fund Administration, Operation, and the Portfolio Specialist Group.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with members of the Response Management Team to provide exceptional service, responding to requests about the firm, products, investment processes, and personnel.
Contribute to the completion of due diligence questionnaires (DDQ), request for proposals (RFP), and requests for information (RFI) for prospective and existing strategic partners, consultants, and clients.
Prepare responses to quantitative questions, including breakdowns of assets under management, personnel, performance, product holdings, and portfolio statistics (i.e., sector, credit quality, and asset allocation).
Prepare responses to qualitative questions that pertain to firm history, personnel changes, organizational structure, product details, investment teams, investment processes, compliance procedures, and operational processes.
Assist the team with recordkeeping and other functions related to the review, routing, and execution of distribution agreements.
Identify inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and document key processes.
Contribute to the completion of department projects.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
rising junior or senior (Undergraduate or MBA) student with ability and desire to work as part of a team
Evidence of challenging curriculum and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Must be organized and have a high attention to detail
Requires good communication, inter-personal, and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated interest within the investment management industry is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; previous SharePoint experience a plus
For Illinois Applicants only: the expected hourly rate for this position is $22/hr.
