Summary:
The Research intern assists the members of the Investment team by providing reporting and analysis support and excellent project management skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assists the team with equities and fixed income research projects, as directed.
Assists with building out reports to primarily (1) monitor market and macroeconomic movements/dynamics and (2) help further capture/understand risk exposures within funds and prospective holdings.
Monitoring news flow for existing and prospective holdings.
This role will also include ad-hoc research responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently enrolled (rising Junior or Senior) in a Bachelor’s degree or MBA program preferably majoring in finance, accounting, economics or similar relevant field of study.
Evidence of challenging curriculum and a minimum 3.2 GPA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
Must be organized and have a high attention to detail.
Good research skills with the ability to effectively compile and analyze data using AI-assisted tools
Interest in capital markets and the investment industry.
Independent and original thinker.
Strong level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit.
For Illinois Applicants only: the expected hourly rate for this position is $22/hr.
