The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Internship Alliance Program builds strong partnerships with leading companies to help secure internship opportunities for our talented young professionals and increase their visibility among recruiters in competitive applicant pools.


This program enables young Hellenes to be referred, recommended, or reserved for select internship opportunities within our trusted partner network, boosting visibility of their applications.


Eligibility:
To explore through the Internship Alliance, students must be a

  1. PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Alumna or Alumnus

  2. PanHellenic Young Leader (for non-scholarship Alumni)

Description

Summary:

The HR Intern will support the entire Human Resources department, gaining exposure to various areas through projects in benefits, compensation, and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), but with a main focus on recruiting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for entry level requisitions including escorting on-site interviews

  • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications

  • Maintain and update applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status updates

  • Post job openings across various platforms and monitor applications

  • Assist with ongoing and new and ad hoc HR projects, focusing on benefits, compensation, training, and HRIS.

  • Enter data and perform audits in the HRIS system.

  • Serve as the primary contact for other Calamos interns, addressing questions and distributing relevant information.

  • Help coordinate events for the internship program.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled (as a rising junior or senior) in a Bachelor’s degree or MBA program.

  • Demonstrated challenging curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

For Illinois Applicants only: the expected hourly rate for this position is $22/hr.
