Job Description & Position Overview


Navistar's People + Culture organization is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Summer Organizational Effectiveness (OE/OD) Intern.

 

Our People and Culture function is activating employee experience strategies to re-design how we deliver what matters most to our employees.

Under the direction of their supervisor, the intern will be integrated into the daily work of the OE/OD team focused on providing staff with access to high quality, in-person, virtual, asynchronous, and blended learning initiatives. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

 

The Organizational Effectiveness Intern should be someone who wants to learn more about how to support people and teams across an organization. You will work on a project that will help you learn about team and organizational effectiveness and performance (OE/OD), as well as change management, agile mindset & the ways we work, and team coaching.


Location: Leslie, Illinois


Minimum Requirements


  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree


Additional Requirements


  • Must be able to provide housing and transportation for the duration of the internship

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required – For certain positions (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)


Desired Skills


  • At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application

  • Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)

  • Previous applicable internships

  • Self-starter

  • High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)

  • Technical Acumen (ability to learn systems at an advanced level)

  • Managing Change and Communications

  • Learning and Development
