Job Description & Requirements
Overview:
The Information Technology Support Intern will provide direct technical assistance and support to Devanco Foods staff for network, hardware, and software issues.
IT Intern Job Duties:
IT interns typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Analyzing data to recommend improvements to existing systems or processes.
Setting up new computers, networks, and software for new employees.
Providing support to IT staff by answering phones, processing paperwork, and responding to user requests.
Installing operating systems and other computer software applications on new computers.
Coordinating with other departments to ensure that all technology is working properly for the company.
Collecting, analyzing, and storing data for use in reports.
Supporting the maintenance of existing computer systems, including troubleshooting problems with hardware and software.
Assisting with computer network security by scanning for vulnerabilities and viruses.
Providing technical support for computer hardware and software issues.
Requirements:
Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in a business, communications or computer-related field.
A basic understanding of computer network cabling and network file and print services.
A GPA of 3.0 or above.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.
Ability to exercise good judgment and effectiveness in working with a high performing team.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
Ability to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationships.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demand:
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, shoveling, lifting, and reaching.
Ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
Salary:
$17-$19/hr.
