IT Architecture Intern Description

The Intern assists the Architecture and Sales Systems team in the areas of software development and testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and implement enhancements to existing production systems and new systems to support emerging business needs

  • Develop Software using Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git Repositories, and CI/CD Pipelines

  • Learn and utilize web development technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Rest API, HTML, and CSS, hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud

  • Build Data Solutions on Databricks and SQL Server utilizing T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, and Microsoft Entity Framework

  • Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery

  • Apply Calamos coding standards; follow promotion, testing, and other department standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled (as a rising junior or senior) in a Computer Science Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program

  • Previous IT internship experience preferred

  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Must be organized and have a high attention to detail

  • Good communication, inter-personal, analytical and critical thinking skills along with the ability to quickly learn new technologies

For Illinois Applicants only: the expected hourly rate for this position is $22/hr.
